Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship

Australian Esports drivers have the opportunity to represent Australia at the 2025 Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship at the SpeedBay Circuit in Bandaragama, Sri Lanka on 26-28 September 2025.

Interested participants will need to compete in the Qualifying event, held online on 29-31 August 2025. The Qualifying event is open to all Asia-Pacific countries. The highest Australian qualifier will be offered a place in the main final, which will be held in person in Sri Lanka in September.

The highest Australian qualifier will not only have the honour of representing Australia, but will have flights, accommodation and entry fee to the event covered by Motorsport Australia.

Competitors do not need to hold a Motorsport Australia Esports Licence during Qualifying, however they must hold one for the main final.


Frequently Asked Questions

  • The qualifier is open to anyone 16 years or above as of 25 September. A valid Motorsport Australia Esports licence is required to the driver who qualifies for the main event.

  • You can join the dedicated Discord server here to find the iRacing server and the live leaderboard.

  • Qualifying will be held between 29-31 August 2025 on iRacing.

  • Qualifying and the Main event will take place on iRacing using the FIA F4 car.

    The circuit will be Okayama International Circuit - Full Course for qualifying and a track pool of Okayama International Circuit - Full Course, Circuito de Navarra - Speed Circuit, Circuit de Ledenon for the main event.

  • The top qualifier from Australia will be selected to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship. Flights, accommodation and entry fee are covered by Motorsport Australia.

  • Round 1 of the main event consists of three races in which drivers will be divided into three groups based on their preliminary hot-lap qualifier times from the online leaderboard. Each driver will accumulate points from this race which they will carry forward to Round 2.

    Round 2 will also consist of three races, however, in this round they will be grouped based on their Round 1 results. The three drivers with the highest points will be randomly assigned to a group and the subsequent drivers will also be randomly assigned.

    The top 10 drivers after the two rounds qualify for the Grand Final. Prize: Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three place-getters.

  • The main event will be held at SpeedBay Circuit in Bandaragama, Sri Lanka on 26-28 September 2025.

  • There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze medals available for those who finish first, second and third in the main event.
