Esports National Championships and Cup dates finalised for 2025

Action is underway for an assortment of Esports Championships backed by Motorsport Australia, with more racing on the cards for later this year in the form of two Cups.

Partnering with Motorsport Australia to bring together the top simulated drivers from around the country, the Motorsport Australia GT3 Esports Championship, Motorsport Australia Logitech G Pro Invitational Championship and the Motorsport Australia Australian NASCAR Championship (ANC) are already several rounds into the 2025 season.

The returning Motorsport Australia GT3 Esports Championship is three rounds into the season, with drivers competing in three more rounds up until 21 November at iRacing’s Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit in Bathurst. The next scheduled event is slated for 22 August at iRacing’s Le Mans course.

Dylan Birse, Damon Woods and Kody Deith leads by 64 points in the Championship with 582, ahead of Vermillion Simsports drivers Jacob O'Reilly, Ben Faulkner and Josh Purwien on 518 points and Arete eSports’ Byron Pearce, Marino Morella, Brock Kelly and Matt Bayley sitting in third with 510 points.

The Motorsport Australia Logitech G Pro Invitational also began earlier this year, hosting Round 1 at iRacing’s Sebring course on 19 March. The Championship will run over 12 events, including three Enduro events through to 3 December and remains one of the most sought-after prizes on the sim racing calendar.

At the top of the current G Pro Invitational season standings after seven rounds is LOBS ESPORTS driver Jarrad Filsell (1320 points), trailed by teammate Andrew Gilliam (1244 points), and Eclipse Simsports’ Zach Rattray-White (1137 points).

The Motorsport Australia ANC has just passed its midway point of the season, hosting Round 12 on July 20 at iRacing’s Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The ANC is the premier oval racing competition in the region, built for serious sim racers who want to compete at the highest level. This is the first year Motorsport Australia is bringing the NASCAR banner under its Esports umbrella, which was launched late-last year at the Championship Qualifying event.

The Championship will begin its Playoffs in Round 14 on 17 August, culminating with the Australian NASCAR Championship race on 12 October in Round 20.

Sanctioned in partnership with Motorsport Australia, the three Championship competitions showcase the very best talent across Australia, combining professional-level competition, official stewarding, and high-quality broadcasts.

Motorsport Australia is also preparing for the opening rounds of two additional Cups, which will take place late into the back half of the year.

The Motorsport Australia Oceanic Formula Invitational (OFI) Cup will commence on 2 October with drivers taking on 10 of Formula 1’s iconic courses as they vie for top spot in the season standings.

The fifth and final competition, the Motorsport Australia Saturday League Cup, began pre-qualifying on 26 July and will cater heavily to individuals new to Esports. Round 1 is set to take place on 2 August.

Entries to the Saturday League Cup are still open and can be submitted to RaceOnOz’s Discord. Anyone is eligible as long as they hold a valid Motorsport Australia Esports Licence.
