GT3 Championship confirms 40-car entry list

Jack Doohan headlines the 40-car Motorsport Australia GT3 Esports Championship

The official entry list for the Motorsport Australia GT3 Esports Championship has been confirmed, with the season to get underway this month.

Following an exciting pre-qualifying session that took place at the renowned Watkins Glen circuit on the iRacing platform, 40 drivers progressed through to the season opener, while a further five wild cards entries have been invited to take part.

The 2024 season will kick off at the famous Nürburgring International Circuit with a more competitive field to compete than the previous year, including top drivers such as Kody Keith and Zachary Smith.

While there are plenty of contenders to have made it through pre-qualifying, BWT Supercars stars Anton de Pasquale, James Golding, and Richie Stanaway headline the 45-car field, along with Alpine F1 Team Reserve driver Jack Doohan, who will be representing his own team, DoohanOK.

Making up the first round at the Nürburgring International circuit will be a 15-minute sprint race and a 45-minute feature race, where fuel load will be limited to encourage a pit stop, although it is not mandatory.

The competition will be broadcast live on SimSpeed’s YouTube channel, Vermillion TV YouTube channel, and Motorsport Australia Facebook page.

Round 1 of the Motorsport Australia GT3 Esports Championship will be taking place online on 9 March from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm AEST.
